Diana Salier is a composer and guitarist based in Los Angeles, CA.
She brings several years of experience with bands in LA, New York and San Francisco to her work in film/TV, digital and branded content. She wrote the score for Seasons 1 and 2 of The F Word (SoulPancake/Participant Media), recently nominated for the IDA Awards Best Shortform Series and IFP Gotham Awards Breakthrough Series.
As resident composer for Slow Clap, she scored Microsoft/Github’s Future Builders, a five-part digital campaign which earned the agency recognition from the 2019 Muse Awards, Hermes Creative Awards and Telly Awards, and has collaborated on brand stories for Capital One, Blue Shield of CA, Earn The Day and many others.
Other recent projects include 5 Blocks, a decade-spanning documentary exploring the impact of tech’s arrival in downtown San Francisco (World Premiere; SF Green Film Festival); and The Tragic Tale of Willis Wilde, a dramatic short that approaches mental health and masculinity through the lens of classic Wild West tropes.
Diana records and performs with LA band The Black Heartthrobs, and is currently at work on Breakers, a collection of cinematic indie guitar pop inspired by the sprawl of summer days in the 90s.
She is on a constant hunt for sad songs masquerading as happy ones, and the perfect under-3:00 pop song.
